Creative Prints & Community Spirit: Gelli Printing Workshop Round-Up

This weekend’s Gelli Printing Workshop at Make On the Corner in Huyton Village was a true celebration of creativity, connection, and community resilience!

Despite the worst weather we’ve had all year, our wonderful participants showed up with smiles and enthusiasm—especially the families who battled wind and rain to join us bright and early. We’re so grateful to everyone who made the effort to be there!

The morning family session was bursting with energy as children and adults got stuck into Gelli plate printing. With layers of colour, texture, and plenty of experimentation, each creation was as unique as the person who made it. It was heartwarming to see families working side by side, sharing ideas, and proudly showing off their vibrant prints.

In the afternoon adults-only session, the creativity only deepened. A supportive and collaborative atmosphere took over the space, with participants encouraging each other, sharing techniques, and trying out exciting variations of the art form. The sense of community was strong, and the results were absolutely stunning.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Crafting Connections - Gelli Printing —you brought the magic, and we can't wait to welcome you back for more workshops soon!

We’re also delighted to share that these sessions were made possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, the UK’s largest community funder, which distributes over £600 million a year to support community-led projects and creative programmes uk.linkedin.com+2tnlcommunityfund.org.uk+2en.wikipedia.org+2. A huge thank you to National Lottery players—your contributions help bring these workshops to life! Find out more about their work here: tnlcommunityfund.org.uk.
